I thought facebook and myspace were still taking over the media world...I am clearly mistaken. I don't think I could keep up with all these medias if I wanted to! I enjoyed your humor and outlook on the new Google Buzz. Although I had no idea what it was before reading this...I am definitely intrigued now and will be checking is out asap! Thanks!

Me too. I had thought that Wave was the new Gmail, but now I see that Gmail with Buzz is the new Wave. I do like it. But now I am wondering where's the Buzz in Reader, which would really make it hum. Brilliant ideas, enormous potential, perpetual beta, poor integration, the Google model just wears you out.

Re: digital sabbaticals. My first sabbatical was imposed in 2005 during a week-long kayaking trip. I couldn't figure out how to get my rectangular laptop into the oval hatch. Hardware incompatibility.
